Crystal Coast Vacation Rental Show

Good morning and welcome to our Monday News Round-up where we take a look at a few news items. Typically they’re involving short term rentals or the Crystal Coast. It might also be anything that I find interesting.

For a little change this week, I’m doing all fun Airbnb stories that I’ve found in recent days. Why? Because I felt like it. Last week’s posts had a bit of doom and gloom and today I want something a bit lighter.

The Most Expensive Airbnb Ever Rented. This is a look at what is claimed to be the most expensive Airbnb ever rented. It comes as no surprise that this is a beautiful property in an exclusive location. The house has ten bedrooms all with en-suite baths. Additionally it has a private infinity pool, a fully equipped spa, a cinema room, and a stocked wine cellar. All this overlooks the French Riviera. Final price tag, $1 million a week, depending on time of year.

Jet Owned By One Of History’s Most Infamous Criminals Transformed Into The “World’s Coolest” Airbnb. I don’t know how you would quantify “world’s coolest” but this 727, allegedly once owned by Pablo Escobar, is one person’s take on it. Thankfully the owner doesn’t lean too much on the rumored salacious past, and instead embraces a retro-luxury theme.

Old Disney’s Fort Wilderness Cabins Now Available to Book on Airbnb. This is a neat story of someone who bought three cabins from the former Disney Fort Wilderness Resort and has transformed them into an Airbnb in Davenport, Florida. The cabins are in close to original condition and have some subtle Disney touches. I’m far from being a “Disney adult” but these cabins are awesome and I would be more than happy to spend a night or two in one of them.
